A bit of history

Lyn and I have been talking about buying a campervan for some years now. Lyn would like one for going to dog agility shows, which often last for 4 or 5 days. I would like one for occasional, impromptu days away. We also have longer term ambitions to do an extended tour of Scandinavia - perhaps we will!
Our only previous experience of using a campervan was some years ago in Australia. We hired a Toyota Hi-Ace from Britz. We used the vehicle to explore Tasmania staying at wild camping sites. The photo show us parked up at a remote site in Tasmania. The hut in the background is the long-drop dunny!

We enjoyed the experience and managed well in this quite small vehicle but now, with a dog and requirement for onboard facilities (i.e. loo!) we looked for something a little larger.
We have put down a deposit on a Peugeot Ravenna Auto-sleeper from Cara Motorhomes in Stoke-on-Trent. We will be arranging a test drive and, hopefully, final purchase over the next week or so.
Our further adventures will be published here as events unfold.
